Great South African Hotel Breaks entitles two people to a free stay at one of many hotels listed for a minimum of 2 nights and a maximum of 5 nights. You will only need to pay for your dinner and breakfast as indicated by the ‘MDE*’ per person per night rate, shown in the listings.
*MDE = Minimum Daily Expenditure rate per person per night.
How to use
Please follow these directions carefully. If you do not complete all of the following steps, your claim will be invalidated.
- Please complete the booking request form in block capitals and send it, together with a stamped, self addressed envelope to:

- Please note the application form must be received at least 30 days prior to your preferred travel dates.
- Upon receipt of your Booking Request Form, our dedicated agents will contact you within 28 days to discuss your requirements.
- Upon final confirmation of your request, our agents will then send your tickets via the post or email.
- Please note that all booking request forms must be received by 11/11/08 and all accommodation must be taken by 31/07/09. Our agents will issue confirmations no later than 30/06/09.
- Please take your confirmation with you and present them on arrival at the airport in order to redeem this offer.
- Please read the terms and conditions before completing the request form, particularly the terms relating to cancellation.

Terms & Conditions
- This offer is open to all residents of South Africa aged 18 years or over for new bookings only. This offer is not available to employees of Samsung Fun Club, TLC Marketing PLC or agencies appointed by TLC and their immediate families.
- The voucher entitles the bearer to a free accommodation for 2 people sharing a room, subject to each person paying the Minimum Daily Expenditure rate (MDE) detailed, per night. This rate will cover the cost of breakfast and evening meal per person.
- All charges specified under MDE are per person, per night for breakfast & evening meal. If meals are not taken or the cost does not total the minimum daily expenditure, hotels reserve the right to charge the MDE rate per person in full.
- Only one voucher may be used per person / per household, per venue and per booking group (group is defined as more than one person accompanying the voucher holder). The voucher claimant may not claim another great South African break voucher at the same venue.
- All additional customers will pay the full price and all future bookings will be charged at the full price.
- All booking request forms must be completed in full, submitted with a stamped, self-addressed envelope and received at least 30 days prior to your earliest departure date. Failure to adhere to all of these points will result in your application being deemed invalid and it not being processed.
- The closing date for the receipt of booking request forms at the address stated is 31/03/09. This offer must be taken by 31/07/09.
- Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. It is recommended that customers send their booking request forms by registered or recorded delivery.
- By sending the completed Booking Request Form, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
- At the time of booking a debit/credit card number must be supplied to the Booking Team. No payment will be debited from the card at this time and the details of this card will not be passed to any other parties. The hotel will not receive any details of the card.
- Hotels reserve the right to request a minimum charge to be paid in full on arrival.
- The offer can be used for a minimum of two nights. There is a maximum number of 5 nights that the hotel will accept the free accommodation bookings. The offer is subject to hotel availability and the hotel manager’s decision is final.
- Upon receipt of your Booking Request Form, our dedicated agents will contact you within 28 days to discuss your requirements and confirm a verbal booking.
- Offer excludes Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. It also excludes stays taken between December 10th to January 10th and February 13th to 15th inclusive.
- The offer is based on advance bookings only. All breaks are subject to promotional availability on a first come, first served basis.
- If the hotel requested is unavailable the Booking Team will contact you with alternative hotels within your chosen location or alternative dates. On confirmation of the booking, the Booking Team will send you a confirmation letter containing the booking details.
- TLC and the Promoter reserve the right to refuse to redeem forms if submitted by persons other than those to whom they were issued.
- Once your booking has been confirmed it cannot be amended in any way. If you cancel your reservation you forfeit your right to use the voucher.
- All additional costs incurred during the stay such as telephone calls, television/films and mini bar bills must be paid on departure. On arrival, your card details will be taken by the hotel. All costs incurred during the stay will be charged to this card when you check out at the end of your stay.
- The confirmation letter must be handed to the hotel reception upon arrival. Photocopied, scanned, illegible or defaced confirmation letters will not be accepted. Failure to hand over the letter will result in you paying the full rate for your room.
- Additional proof of identification may be required by the hotel upon arrival in order to redeem the offer.
- Additional persons travelling with you and your guest (such as children) may be eligible for discounted accommodation. For the purposes of this promotion, ‘children’ are aged 15 years or under. You must indicate if there are any additional persons when completing the booking request form.
- If for any reason the booking is cancelled a cancellation fee may be charged. All booking cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled date of arrival. A failure to heed the 72 hour rule or a failure to show up means a cancellation fee will be charged to the debit/credit card.
- All cancellations must be made in writing to the booking team (not the specific airline). Please contact the booking team on southafricaenquiries@tlcmarketing.com.
- Payment made by Visa or Mastercard will incur a 3% charge. Maestro and Delta incur a charge of up to 1%.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, participating hotels may be subject to change. If so you will be advised at the time of booking.
- Participating hotels are all contracted to participate in the free hotel break offer.
- Participating hotels reserve the right to vary prices, times and offer availability (e.g. public holidays).
- Neither the Promoter, nor its agents or distributors can accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged vouchers and reserves the right to withdraw or amend any details and/or offers.
- The free hotel break voucher has no monetary value, is non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer or redeemed in whole or part for cash.
- In the event of large promotional uplift, venues reserve the right to book voucher holders up to 4 months from date of calling to make a promotional booking.
- The Promoter, TLC and distributors are not responsible for the management of the hotels and will accept neither liability nor claims for disappointments or dispute in relation to management of the hotels. The Promoter makes no guarantee about any aspect of the quality or performance of the hotels.
- The Promoter, its agents and distributors do not guarantee the quality and/or availability of the services offered by the hotels and cannot be held responsible for any resulting disagreements. Liability is not accepted for any personal loss (including but not limited to wasted expenditure), resulting from you or any other member(s) of your Group attending the hotel, caused by matters beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances TLC reserve the right to withdraw or substitute this offer with one of equal or greater value.
- TLC is not responsible for any offer misrepresentation (written or verbal) on warranties by anyone.
- Any persons taking advantage of this promotion do so, on complete acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- TLC reserves the right to vary these terms without notice.
- Samsung Fun Club shall also be bound by these Terms and Conditions and shall not encourage, persuade, promote, support or in any way assist in their breach.
